LoveBird chasing dogs

Question
I have a serious problem with my Peach face lovebird chasing my dogs. He almost got bitten on the head by one of them. He thinks he's the boss of everyone but he could get himself killed. I don't know what to do. Could you give me some advice?
 Thanks,
 Christine

Answer
Keep the dogs in another room when your bird is out did you know even the spit from the dogs can kill the bird if it gets on his feathers and he preens them? my dogs know that when my birds jump off there cages or my shoulder to ignore them and leave them alone even thou two are terriers and one a water bird retreval dog....they just go over to see them I say leave him or leave them and they step back and let me pick the bird up. My first lovebird did this and still does from time to time....my father sat him on the table a while back and my mothers new kitten came over to see him he poked his nose up to the table ledge via standing on a chair and my lovebird ran over and bit his nose...ever since then he never goes near any of my lovebirds.
