My new african grey

I just brought home a 15 month old african grey.  She is being very skittish, growling, she like men more than me. she comes out of her cage unwillingly.  She was not like this at her other home.  Once she has calmed down she will step up and sit with me.  Should I keep doing what I am doing or should I leave her alone.

That is very normal for a bird to me skittish at first. My Cockatoo would be a royal terror for about 2 hours, and then decide that it would be OK to cuddle and be nice. Then I would put her back in the cage, and we would have to start all over again the next day because she (I guess) forgot that she was ever nice to me. Keep up spending time with her, let her know that no matter how mean she is, you'll still love her. She'll calm down in time.
