Question
Hi! I have an african grey parrot. He is nearing 5 years of age. He always loving eating and playing. These few days, he has been refusing to eat his favourite food which is corn and also bread. I tried giving him other fruits n veggies but he just nibbled n threw it away. He is very interested in playing and only playing. I am worried if he is not feeling well. Is this eating problem bad for his health?

Answer
Hi, Revathy,

I picked your question up from the question pool.

If your bird isn't eating, yes, it's a health problem because your bird won't get the nourishment it requires.  However, you haven't provided enough information in your post for me to understand what is going on here.  Often times, birds hide their symptoms when they are ill.  By the time we notice the bird is ill, it can be too late.  You may want to seriously consider taking your bird to a certified avian vet for a medical evaluation.
