Answer
Hello Ginni and thank you for your post.
If you are setting your Budgies directly in the sun, they may be getting over heated and this can cause a heat stroke and/or a heart attack.
Try changing the diet to a pelleted diet.  For the fresh fruits and vegetables, try feeding them some spinach, dandelion greens, kale, collard greens, cooked sweet potatoes, cooked corn, a little bit of millet spray as an occasional treat, apple pieces, some mashed potatoes, and a bit of yellow squash.  Your birds will love all of these, and these may be healthier for your birds.
It is possible that the other birds had picked on the one if it was sick.  Any birds that are ill should be separated and quarantined from the others, as well as be seen by a Certified Avian or Exotic animal Vet right away, so the others do not get sick also.
Perhaps all of the birds that you have left should be seen by a Certified Avian or Exotic Animal Vet for a health check.

Please keep me informed on their progress, and feel free to come back with any more questions.

Good luck and God Bless.
