Budgies will be friends???

hi,
im preaty new as a pet owner so i hope you can help me with my question, i bought 4 months ago two young male budgies but last week one of them died from and accident ,so my other one was very sad  i decided  to get him a friend but i end up buying two, both baby males, and i put them in the same cage its big and roomy, but the old one seems not happy at all, do you think they will get along someday ore i have to move the babies to a difrent cage? what do yo suggesgt??

Happy New Year!  Your question was in the question pool...evidently the person you sent your question to could not answer.

One bird may be very sad because it is grieving the loss of the bird that died.  The proper way to introduce new birds to other birds is to put them in separate cages side-by-side, AFTER a 30-day quarantine period, and allow them to get used to each other through their cages.  If/when they seems to get along, then put them together in the same cage.  

I have no idea if all these birds will get along with each other.  They probably will, but there are no guarantees when it comes to birds.  Just because we put birds together doesn't mean they will necessarily get along.  You may want to take the babies out and put them in their own cage just to see how the other bird acts.  You just have to try different things to see what works with your birds.
