egg laying

Question
I have a yellow Nape Parrot. For the longest time we thought my bird was a boy, but long an behold, he laid an egg this morning. I have had cockatiel in the past who laid eggs, and I know you are not supposed to take it away from them, because it can cause them to lay more, which is not good for them. How long am I supposed to leave the egg in the cage? Is there anything I can do to help, or should I just leave the bird alone? Help; I am not sure what I should do. Thanks.

Answer
You're doing a great job and you're right about leaving the eggs.  Once the hen isn't interested anymore, you'll know it and it's time to remove them.
