Question
I recentlly got a 14week old macaw. I have had him for two
weeks now. Lat week (his first week home) he was the most
lovable cuddly would step up step down, loved loved loved to
be pet and head scritches, this week all of a sudden he
hisses at me. He will still step up and enjoy all the same
stuff it's just when I go in his cage or approach him the
first thing he does is hiss. I approach calmly and in a soft
voice but he still hisses. Is this a stage he is going
through or is this something behavioral i am going to have
to work out of him?

Honestly I deal with rescue birds, not often do I get babies into the rescue where I have to deal with their behaviors.

I know several people on there that have baby macaws. Ask this question on their and see if any of them have experience with it. Make sure you tell them what species of macaw he is.
