Question
i got a rescued female cockateil 4 months ago, i already had a male. this past
week she has been trying to attract him, with no luck. then she laid an egg. i
put it in a shallow bowl with kleenex for her to sit on.  she doesnt pay it much
attention, but occasionally tries to sit on it. tonight she laid another and is
chasing me and the male out. i guess this is all normal, and she is eating and
drinking and seems fine, but she has been making these huge wet droppings
ever since she started laying eggs. does this sound ok? [ they firmed up all
little  in between eggs.]

Answer
Dear Christine,
Your Cockatiel is very normal and huge droppings is actually a type of cleanliness! Your Cockatiel is doing huge poops because instead of pooping in the nest she is holding in all of her poop and saving it in her until she exits the nest. When she is out of the nest she will let her huge pile of saved poop out. So instead of pooping in the nest she holds in the poop. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask! Oh, and could you please rate my answer? Thanks!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Good Luck!
