tails

Hiya! i noticed the other day that one of my degu's tails looked a little different, the tip of her tail has become pink and the hair has dissappeared. It looks as though something may have happened to the end of it. Is there anything i can do? and will the hair grow back? it doesnt seem to be bothering her, but i am obviously worried about it!

Hello Steph, have you brought your degu to the vet? It may be nothing but you may want to bring her if it doesnt get better soon. What could have happened is that your degu may have gotten her tail into some water. Another possibility is that she may need a higher quality dust for her dust bath such as Kaytee.
