Question
Hi just over a week ago i brought 2 pet mice. But a couple of days ago i noticed one had a pea size lump under her arm/chest so i took her back to be checked and was told that it didn't feel like a tumor because it moved around, but I've noticed tonight the lump has grew much bigger what should i do?? i don't want her to die! She is only 10 weeks old thank you

Answer
Hi!

Unfortunately tumours are, albeit rare, very much possible on a 10 week old mouse. Best way to make sure is to take your mouse to the vet to be examined. Tumour is normally the death sentence to a small rodent, as there are very few vets capable and skillful enough to operate on an animal of this scale.

There are alternatives of what the lump may be, such as a kind of a 'fat-growth' that is completely harmless to the animal. I would urge you to take the poor girl to the vet as soon as possible to be sure. Good luck!
