Question
My mouse Jellybean is making a cheeping noise like a bird. She today started making it a lot today. It sounds like a bird chirping. She eats drinks and is soft coated runs on her wheel tons and has another female cage mate. Is she just calling to her or is it something I should take her to the vet for?

Answer
Most mice make a chirp or squeak type sound when they talk or as a warning of something bothering them. If she is eating, drinking, and active as normal then I see no reason to worry. You would only worry if she squeak when you picked her up in a certain way (indicating pain)or something similar to that. If she is just making a lot of noise you just happen to have a talker on your hands. It is absolutely normal for her to chirp, squeak, and sometimes even occasionally growl. Now all you need to do is learn to speak mice ,LOL:)
