Hermit Crab Molt !COLOR!

Question
Mrs. Lola,
One of my small hermit crabs has recently molted and I am worried about her color.  After she molted, her color remained very pail and almost chalk white.  What may have caused this and how can I correct it?  What foods can I feed to improve color, and how should it be prepared?  What other things may be wrong?

Answer
It does take about a week for them to come back to their full color but if she is very pale she could certainly be lacking some dietary elements. Maple leaves, raspberry leaves, spirulina, dark colored berries all are a great place to start. www.thehappyhermitcrab.com sells pre and post molt foods that you may find helpful as well (even if you just look at the ingredient lists).
