QuestionHi, I just got 3 hermit crabs for my 3 sons about 2 or 3 weeks ago and I have a couple of questions. Only one of them seem to be active, should I be worried about the other two? I put them on the food dish to make sure that they are still alive - and they are. The one (which we consider is my youngest sons) is extremely active which is really nice. Also, I'm having a terrible time regulating the temp and humidity in the tank. I originally had just a light but it was off too much. So I bought a heater to go on the under side of the tank but that doesn't seem to be doing anything eitehr. I don't want our crabs to get sick or anything. Can you please help me? Also, what is your feeling on taking the crabs on vacation with you? Thanks for any help that you can provide. I think that it's really nice for you to take the time to answer other peoples questions!

Oh and There are several type sof hermit crabs(land hermit crabs that is) many different colors, sizes and belive it or not shapes, Some crabs are much more active then others... perhaps the most active is a gree tiny crabs with longer eye stocks then the others? those are the most active and really skille when you take them out lol. That site shows pictures of the different crabs types and explains what they should look likes also. i always had problems with my humidity and heat but my crabs were fine but they are much more active when its dark and wamr and sticky lol, the site explains to you many things like this also.
