Guinea Pigs and Litter Boxes

Can guinea pigs be trained to use a litter box in their cage?  If so, what type of litter should be used?

It depends on how many guinea pigs are in the cage, if there is only one or two, it may be possible, but if you do "train" them, they won't always use the "litter box" if you notice them using one corner, that is where you should put the litter box...I would reccomend using carefresh bedding!!
