When should I separate my two gps?

Question
Hello!  My one little girl piggy is pregnant.  You can start to feel the babies kicking and moving around.  When should I separate the boy and pregnant mommy-to-be?  I tried to separate them for a little while, but they just wailed for each other.  I put the cages right next to each other.  I don't know how long I have left before the babies are born, do you?  When should I put the little boy in a separate cage?
Thanks!
Angela

Well, I don't know when you began to be able to feel kicking, but whenever that began, you have about three weeks from then.  I would calculate back and then think.  To be perfectly honest, in order to reduce the stress on your pregnant sow, I would separate them as soon as possible.  You have two options.  Either place the cages right next to each other so they can chat or place them in entirely separate rooms (in hopes that they will forget the other exists for a little while.)  I would definitely soon because you want to prevent a post-birth rebreeding.

Hope this is helpful.  If you have any more questions, please feel free to contact me again.  Good luck with your delivery.
