Question
Thanks for your help. I gave you an update on the rating page(where I rated you VERY high) but I didn't know if that was the right way to get the info to you. So, I'll try it here also. It turns out the round thing on  Petris' side is a tumor. The vet will operate on Thursday and feels she can take care of the problem. I know it is hard to tell about something like this by email and you did lead us in the right direction. Thanks again and I'll let you know what happens with Petris....Petris says "thanks" too. Peg

Answer
Hi Peg.  Thank you for the high rating (I'm not real sure how the website uses the ratings, but THANKS!).  A tumor?  I wonder what would have caused a tumor to develop.  I am shocked, I was so certain it was the ring worm.  I'm glad you've found a vet that can work with guinea pigs, there are only about 3 within 2 hours of my location.  I encourage you to ask the vet a lot of questions before the surgery to make sure you are confident with his/her abilities and trust him/her with your guinea pigs life.  I wish you the best of luck with the surgery and hope your little guy has a full recovery!
