guinea pig company

i brought two guinea pigs about 6 weeks ago and i think they are now about 3 months old i brought them as two females but today i found out that one is a girl and the other a boy i have seperated them but dont know if the femal is pregnant i dont want them to b on there own so could you tel me if it is possible 2 put another guinea pig or rabbit with them for company thank you

Hi Heather.  It is possible to put another guinea pig with them but you are going still going to have the gender issue of at least 1 boy and 1 girl.  You can put another girl with the pregnant one to keep her company, but you don't want to put a boy with her or you'll have a never ending supply of babies.  I do not recommend putting a rabbit in the cage because the dietary requirement of the 2 animals is different and you don't know how the rabbit will respond to babies because the rabbit and guinea pig have very different babies.
