Question
My guinea pig is pretty healthy i think, but he just doesn't talk to me very much. I had a Gp about 5 years ago and i always remember like a high pitch long up and down whistle almost, and now i don't hear anything.  i hear some noises. I also tried introducing him to my sisters male GP, and it went ok. I did feel him vibrate a little though, does that mean ip shouldn't try that anymore? Thank you for your help.  Bye

Answer
Every guinea pig is different. Some are extremely noisy, some are not, just like people. As long as he is acting healthy, eating food, and moving about his cage, he's fine. He just may not be that noisy. As for introducing him to the other male, just be careful, and never throw a female into the mix as this can result in a dangerous fight. As long as they aren't attacking each other, they should be fine but please supervise. The vibrating could be the result of a purr that usually comes with mating. Some males try to "mate" another male to show dominance. Some times neither male will back down from this dominance hump, and that can result in violence. I hope this helped. Please feel free to write if you have any more questions. I wish you and your pig a lifetime of health and happiness. :)
