If a guinea pig's appetite is good and the poop is firm pellets, its a good indication that the animal is healthy.

The ultimate happy pig noise is called "wheeking" which they make particularly when they sense they are about to be given some nice food. This is sometimes accompanied by what is known as "popcorning" where the pig literally jumps into the air in a very crazy fashion.
