scaly skin and hair loss on guinea pigs

I have three guinea pigs of which two have dry, scaly skin on thier lower back and tail area. When we brush them their hair comes out with dry pieces of skin atatched. We have tried mite shampoo that does not help. Do you have any ideas.

The problem could be a few things but really you need a vet to take a look to establish what is the best for of treatment depending on what the problem is. If I could see your pig I might be able to tell you which problem it is, but as I cant, I recommend you visit a vet.
