QuestionI am finding that my three Guinea Pigs are not eating much of their food. We
have tried giving them various foods and have tried introducing new foods to
them but they are not interested. Each day (when it is warm) we put them out
on the grass in their run and they eat the grass but when we put them back in
their cage they are not interested in the food but they are hungry for grass.
We have booked them in for the vets beacause they have extremely dry skin
and theri ear problems. Do you have any ideas to what we can do to make
them eat more ?
AnswerHi Catherine
Grass is very nutritional for piggies so if they are eating it then it doesnt indicate a major health problem.
However, it depends what the vet finds as the reason for the skin/ear issue.
Let me know what the vet says and we will take it from there.
