Cats in the garden

Question
I have 2 guinea pigs who have been free range for the last 2 years. They happily wander around the garden, and find shelter if it's cold and wet. However, a cat has recently started visiting the garden...which I'm not too happy about. Is there any way (e.g. sonic scarers) of deterring cats from the garden in a way that won't upset my piggies?
Thanks

Answer
Hi Angela

I note your comments about your piggies having free range of the garden and think thats great. However, until the cat problem is solved I would suggest you bring the piggies inside.

One idea is you can get a black cut out of a cat a place it on your wall. I did this and no cats have come near my yard since.
