Question
Hi

I bought 2 female guinea pigs and 1(cleo) has had a baby they
both appear to be fine but lately the 2 females have been sitting on top of the baby and running over it what should i do the baby is 3weeks and is a boy will it be ok if i took it out and put it by itself

Answer
Hi Simone,

male guinea pigs can get female pigs pregnant from 2 weeks old! You could of seperated him then, but it isnt ideal 3 weeks is the best age to seperate him from the mums. He will be fine by himself as long as he has humane living conditions and proper food and attention, but unless you want an unwanted in-bred pregnancy seperate him now. Hope this answers your question.
