Scabs or sores found on a guinea pig

I got a guinea pig from a pet store, and when I got home, I discovered two wounds on him caused before I got him. What should I do about this?

Sorry to say, but the pet stores can't care for and monitor their animals like a breeder.  Only breeders know the history of their animals.  It isn't the animal's fault.  You can return the piggie or if it seems healthy keep it.  I'd bathe it completely and as long as the wounds aren't infected, it will become your first rescue piggie.  That is how I ended up with my first guinea pig.  I saw it get attacked by another one, right in the store! I was only in the store buying crickets, but I could not let that animal be tortured and not do anything!  Please send more information on the wounds.  Thanks, Cindy
