my hamster at night...

dear heather,
my hamster has a problem of knowing when to go to sleep and when to have a party at midnight.
he likes to chew on the bars at the top, i gave him a chew stick but he wont even get near it it seems.  what do i do?

     P.S. i give him strawbarries-do you think that has somthing to do with it?

Hamsters are all nocturnal, meaning they are awake at night, and sleep durring the day. My hamster chews constantly at night as well, dispite the chew sticks I give him. The thing that works most, is to feed the hamster every day before bed, that way the hamster will be interested in the food, while you fall asleep.
