Answer
Hi Janae,

Well, unfortunately, although wet tail medicine is sold in a lot of places, it doesn't help.  There's no point in using wet tail medicine at all.  If a hamster has wet tail, he should go to the vet, who will most likely prescribe antibiotics.

Diarrhea is frequently caused by the feeding of too many vegetables.  First, stop feeding your hamster vegetables and other moist foods until the diarrhea stops.  Feed her only her regular hamster mix.  Second, keep your hamster's water bottle full, and change it every day.  Finally, keep your hamster warm by giving her extra bedding.  (Use Aspen or Carefresh only.  Pine and Cedar are dangerous, as they cause respiratory infections.)  Your hamster's diarrhea should clear up within 2 days.  If it doesn't, and she begins acting lethargic, or if she displays any other sign of sickness, you should take her to a vet.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask :)
