could it be diarrhea??? i am just worried because the hamster i had before this one got wet tail. i got this one and put it in the cage after my other dyed but i gave the cage a good clean.

It's probably urine. It's hard to say, though, without having seen it, so I cannot tell you for sure.

If you are worried about this, better see a vet with the hamster as soon as possible. Diarrhea is very serious for hamsters, they can die from it in just a few days. I don't think that he was infected by any germs left over from the other hamster, but better rule out any medical problems. I really cannot say for sure without having seen the liquid, so I do recommend a vet visit to be on the safe side.
