baby hampsters

the babies were born dec 18..they are eating food now but i have not seen them drink any water..and when can i give them away?

Hi Lilly, your little chaps will be 3 weeks old on monday by my calculations and therefore still being weaned from their mum, in the next week or so they will start being independent from her and drinking water. they shouldnt leave her until they are at least four to five weeks old, and at eight weeks should live separately from each other as they will either fight or breed!! hope this helps, Jen
