Question
Hello well my hamster bites on the cage but I don't know if I should get him some bitter lime spray. Is there any other household products that might stop him from biting on his cage. PLEASE HELP

Answer
Hi Shayauna,

If you have any lemons you can cut one in half and rub them on the bars of the cage. If not, the bitter lime or apple spray should help.
Hamsters will generally chew on their cages because they are bored. You can also help with the chewing on the cage bars by making sure they have chew toys in their cage, like wooden chew sticks, witch you can get at any pet store or wal-mart. Another thing would be to put him in a hamster ball every evening for about an hour. This will give him good exercise and also help burn off some of his energy.
