Emptying pouches

Question
Hi, my dwarf hamster keeps emptying her pouches onto my hand every time i get her out, Why is this?

Answer
Hello Rebecca!  I do not understand why she would have food in her pouches in the first place.  Is this the only hamster you have? Or does she have roomates?  If you have more than one hamster it could be that she just doesn't know a safer place to unload her stash. If she does not have any roomates then she probably feels insecure in her home or does not have a safe place to stash her food. If you picked your hamster out before she unloaded her stash then she could also feel the urge to be able to quickly move around and she can move a lot faster without the food in her pouches so she removes it to make herself more agile.  These are all the  possibilities I can think of.  Try to offer your hamster a hiding spot, perhaps this will help her with this problem or habit.  I hope this helps!
