Well the babies are about 3 weeks and 3 days old and yes the father is still in the cage.

Hi Vix,

because the female comes into season on the day she has the babies then she could be pregnant again because the father was present at the birth.

This could be why she she is turning on the babies ahe already has.

It should be ok to take the babies away from her now and put them into a separate cage but you must give them plenty of food and make sure you see them eating it.

All of babies should stay with each other for another two or three weeks though before being rehomed.

It may be a good idea to put the father in with the babies too because if she does have another litter in the next few days he will get her pregnant again!
