bugs

Hi i have a Russian dwarf hamster called Coco.She started to fight with her sister so we had to separate them but recently i noticed my hamster has these bug/mites in its fur.My Dad won't let me take her to the vet because my cat in having an operation next Tuesday and isn't prepared to pay even more money for a smaller much younger pet that i have only had for 8 weeks.My mum thinks she brought a couple of the bugs and some eggs with her and the infestation just broke out.She has some bald bits which are raw red and a tiny bald bit behind her neck which has flaked skin and tends to be where all the mite things are coming from.
Please help if you can love Clarrie

Hi Clarrie,

You shouldnt really have pets if you are not prepared to pay the bills that come with them!

You hamster is just as important as your cat and needs medical attention as soon as possible!

You should get some hamster flea powder or solution to put on your hamster but if that doesnt work then you will have to take it to the vets.
