My wife and i have a 2 yr old ferret and i was wondering just how much play time with humans me and wif he needs. we normally play with him one on one for about 45 mins or an hour and then we put him in his room and let him play. by the way when we put him in his roonm it is only after repated attempts to make him play. all of his check ups are good he is happy for those 45mins then he gets cranky u know scratching and stuff. he has his own bed room it is huge and a lot of toys and a six foot taLL CAGE HELP??????

Ferrets are very very social creatures and want attention the entire time they are awake. He is probably very bored and possibly lonely. Have you considered getting another ferret and going through the introductions?

Or is it possible to work some more one on one time in with him?
