Question
Hi
I have 2 11 month old ferrets, a brother and sister. And recently I got another one (little over 1 year old) from someone who couldn't handle him anymore. He's amazing, great fun, get along great with the other 2, the young male has taken to him more so than the female. The previous owners had him on kitten food, but I feed my ferrets "Totally Ferrets with real chicken". I didn't have to wheen him off of the kitten food, he took to the Totally Ferrets right away after seeing the other 2 eating from it. now he doesn't seem to have an upset stomach or anything and his...well...crap seems fine. I was wondering should I try wheening him anyway, and if so how?, or should I just go with good luck?

Thank You

Scott

Answer
There are a few schools of though on changing a ferrets food - I am of the school that says take away the old and crappy food and get them on a good quality food as soon as possible.  I have also never had a ferret prefer crappy food over quality when given the choice.  If all are eating thr Totally Ferret then go with it!
