help! really need help

Question
my ferret started acting strange today.  It actually started about a month ago when she started walking funny, as if her back leg was hurting her.  Now, she is laying down and twitching really bad.  She wont walk, she just twitches, I really need help with this.  She is acting responsive, but I cant get her to eat or drink anything. What is wrong with her? what do I do?

If your ferret is still alive by the time you read this, PLEASE believe me when I tell you what you MUST get veterinary care for your ferret IMMEDIATELY. You have not given me enough information here and I cannot diagnose your ferret over the internet - that would be completely improper. To be quite honestly with you, if you have watched her suffer like this for one month and are just now getting around to having someone have to tell you to take your ferret to the vet, you have NO business owning any pet of any kind.
