Australian Shepard

Ivy,
I have been watching my grandmothers Australian Shepard for 4 years, since my grandmother had a stroke.  The dog is not trainable and requires much attention.  She is also sometimes violent with people and other dogs.  I can't take care of her anymore!  I need to give her away to somebody else.  I do not want to take her to the pound, but I will as a last resort.  I would be willing to pay for her food for the rest of her life if necessary.  Do you know who might take her?

I am sorry that this has become an unbearable situation for you.  Has the dog had any type of training to maybe try and curb this unwanted behavior.  I am not sure what organizations may be of use to you since I do not know where you live.  Please tell me where you live and I can see what I can find for you.
