How can I stop my dog from climbing on guests?

Question
I have a very active 6 month old yorkie puppy.  I known terriers are very active and exciteable.  Any time we have guests she climbs on them.  If I pick her up she wiggles so much I am afraid I will drop her.  What is the best was to correct this behavior?  Right now I am putting her in another room but she whines and cries continually which is disturbing. Do you have any suggestions?

Answer
Dear Lee Ann
It's impossible to diagnose behavioral problems by email but I can give you a starting point.

Dogs will form their own behavior unless we, as owners, develop their innate Will to Serve. Dogs are not born with good manners. Humans send their children to school to learn how to function in society, every culture teaches children their behavioral boundaries. Dogs need their territorial and behavioral boundaries defined. A dogs mind is best developed using a psychological training philosophy. C.W. Meisterfeld has developed such a training philosophy based on his personal experience. I have used his training techniques to successfully reprogram my behavioral problem dog
