QuestionHi there! I was wondering if you could possibly help me out a little. My dog has dry/crusty ears, mainly on the tips, and I have been trying to find out what it could possibly be. I see a lot of things about sebborheic dermatitis, but nothing really describing what it looks like or with any pictures. I was hoping you could help me out with what this could possibly be. He is a Min Pin, but his ears are not cropped so they do flop over a little bit. Thanks for your time.
AnswerHi, it could be a variety of things, the most common being a sort of yeast infection. If you had flys, then I would first guess that is was fly bites. The best thing for you to do is go to the vet and have them do a scraping of it. That could rule out a lot of things, including demodectic mange. I wish I could be of more help, but unfortunately without being able to see it, it makes it hard to actually figure out what could possibly be wrong.
