Most bitches want to get to the boys as much as the boys want to get to them! The girls generally come into season every 5-6 months. Some come in every four months, and a handful can go longer than six months. Your friend should talk to her vet about the best time to get her puppy spayed to cut down on the possibility of breast cancer and pyrometria in her bitch.
