Question
My dog is a little dog, who barks uncontrollably. We tried a shock collar, but we felt it was too mean so we stopped, then we tried a high pitched collar. At fist she didn't bark, but then anfter a couple of months, the high pitched nooise didn't phase her at all, please help me with my Crazy doG!

Answer
Hi, Lance, and thanks for asking! What brand of bark collar was the first one (not the sonic one)? How long did you use it and was it effective? Also, what breed is your dog? Some breeds are naturally more vocal than others.

When does your dog bark? Is she barking at something or does she do it when you leave?

The most important thing when it comes to training is to be consistent. This means that whenever you commit to teaching your dog something, like housebreaking for example, you HAVE to do everything the same way all the time or your dog will become confused and can even become more difficult to train because she will learn that you aren't going to enforce anything. You made that mistake when you stopped using the first bark collar, but that's okay! You can still teach your dog when it is appropriate and inappropriate to bark.

If you would please get back to me with the answers to the questions I've asked, I'll do my best to help you and your dog! I do need to know the answers in order to help formulate the best game plan, though. ;^)
