Question
Hello Kristin, My name is Kelley and about a 1.5 years ago, my fiancee' and I adopted a wonderfully sweet, affectionate, loving dog named jada. she's a pitbull that we adopted from a rescue group here in CT. Dont really know much about her history except that when she was rescued, they didnt have a temp. home for her so she was placed in a boarding kennel for almost 9 months.  She loves us dearly, as we love her, but she suffers from terrible fear and anxiety.  She's terrified of other people, we can be out on a walk, she'll see someone WAY down the sidewalk and fight us to turn around.  She's terrified of the slightest noises...Its gotten to the point where if I open a window in the house, she begins trembling and tries to hide underneath us! Im really bothered by this, I feel like she's miserable and scared all the time.  she's such a wonderful dog, we treat her very well and she's showered with love all day long, I thought she would have gotten over this, but it seems to be worsening.  What can I do to help her?  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  We want her to be able to enjoy her life but we have to practically drag her outside to go to the bathroom.  HELP!

Answer
Sounds like your going to need professtional help for her, some dogs need medications like Prozac to calm them down, and some dogs need special training

The best thing would be to take her to the vet and talk about the best options for her,as each dog is different
