my dog has a weird eating habit all of a sudden

My 2yr old German Short Hair/ Blue Healer mix that I rescued a year ago just started pushing his food around in his bowl.  We feed him the same food that we fed him when we first got him and he seemed to like it just fine but not now.  There is a few things I can think of that might be the issue: We got him a new bowl that is shiny, the bowl needs to be lifted, or just doesn't like him food anymore.  Can you give me any help Please.

Some dogs are funny,and only like certain types of bowls,in fact one of my dogs is like that,so try changing to a different type of bowl

Also it is a natural thing,and some dogs after time try to cover there food,in the wild they would do this to prevent other animals from eating there food

However,I wouldn't change the food,as this could create a dog that will become chornically fussy and will stop eating once it gets bored of the food-this could be the case too,but the best thing to do is not to give him anything,treats ect until he starts eating his food,he might play the game for even up to a week,but will eventualy get hungry and eat,it's the best way of breaking them of this annoying habbit.I too have a dog that used to do this,and she broke from it once she learned thats all she would be eating.Whatever weight they lose they will gain back rather quickly
