adaptation to a baby

Hello,

My husband and I are currently trying to conceive our first child.  We currently are parents to a lovely 1 1/2 year old Boxer named Ruby.  I was wondering if you have any ideas on how to get Ruby used to the idea of a new baby?  Is it best to start now?

Hey,
Unfortunately there is nothing you can do to get Ruby used to idea of a new baby. On the good side, dogs have a great sense of what is going around, and Ruby will realize that your expecting a baby when your pregnant. Also, Boxers are great with children, so you have absolutely nothing to worry about.
