Question
I have some issues with my lhasa apso, he is constantly rubbing his face due to allergens in the air, and when I comb his hair in a top knott he uncombs it and the hair seems to break where the elastic band was. I trimmed the hair abovethe eyes and gave him eye brows, but he still rubs his head and breaks the hair that is tied up.Any suggestions becuase I like his hair long and I do not want to cut it. thank you

Answer
Hello Paula, Well it seems that we have to eliminate his need for rubbing his face.  I use a product call Angel Glow, it is for tearing and the stains from tearing.  Go to www.angelsglow.com for more information.  It really works on my dog and several customers dogs also.  Also check the elastic band and make sure there is no skin tied up with the hair, it's easy to do and will bother the dog terribly.  Also to help with breakage of the hair, get some perm wrap papers.  These are papers that when you give a perm you wrap the hair first then use the roller.  Wrap the dogs hair with this paper and then put the elastic band around the paper.  This should help with any breakage.  I hope this helps, Thanks for asking, Cindy Lou :)
