Golden retriever 1 yr on 12-27-06

He play bites and wont stop won't let go of the toy will squeak it and bite at my 5/6yr old boys and myself. If I give him a treat he then wont pick up his toy he says forget playing, but he will then revert back to the toy once treats are gone, and start to bite w/ toy in his mouth.  He get hyper when he wants pet but wont let you pet him, he bites at you or barks.  He never goes to lay down if I'm in the room and if I'm not he will go lay down for my husband.  He won't leave my kids a lone and he is bigger then them and he hurts them, how do I fix these few problems??

Probably the best thing would be to enroll him in dog obedience school,as they can work on these problems with your whole family,there's alot of trainers around,so call around for the one you like

also because he is active,perhaps getting him involved in canine sports such as flyball and agility would help,alot of regular trainers train this as well,or know a trainer that does-so when you call around for trainers you can ask about that as well
