Boston Terrier Sweater

Question
Hi!  I have a 2.5 year old female Boston and live where the winters are cold.  Since Bostons tend to get chilly, I have a variety of sweaters/coats for her and they are great. Recently I adopted an adult male Boston Terrier from a rescue group and I wanted to get him a sweater. However -- and I realize this may be a really stupid question -- I do not know what to do about putting a sweater on him for a walk.  Since dogs usually urinate several times on a walk it is not possible to have a sweater that goes down very far along the tummy.  Is there something I should do?  I did get him a coat that has a band that attaches around the base of his chest so that is not a problem.  Any suggestions would be great!

Answer
i walk my jack russell male and boston terreir female(both altered!) with coats or sweaters on when its below -4 or 5 C. the thing I noticed with my jack rusell when he was a puppy he was brough home in winter and there was a half foot of snow outside he needed the sweater on everytime he went out...simply get a long one that does have leg straps and roll it up or fold it under the rest of the sweater leaving his pee area uncovered or you can try a top covering jacket these strap around the neck adn under the front legs there are normal leg straps but the lower belly remains uncovered so is perfect for male dogs. if it is more then -15 C. at any given time I personly wont take my boston terrier out beecause even with her P.J's on under a warm woolen sweater she still shakes to death!
