Maltese grooming

I had my Maltese shaved. I think it went to close for comfortable as she will only take a few steps before sitting down and biting at her butt. She seems to be extremely uncomfortable but her skin does not look irritated or red.

Hello Andrea, If the rectum was clipped to short or the blade edges scratched the area this will cause the dog to react exactly as you described, even scoot along the carpet.  Use a cream such as panalog or even vasaline to help her discomfort.  If she persist then a trip to the vet may be in order for her to have a cortisone shot.   Save your vet bill for the groomer, any reputable groomer would reimburse you for this charge.  Good Luck and Thanks for asking, Cindy Lou :)
