Vomiting for a week and wont eat

Question
My Westie, Murray), has been vomiting for almost a week.  We have been to the vet 3 times.  They have run blood work, taken x-rays, and given meds and fluids (injections.)  We have attempted to give him meds at home (Sucrafate, and then antibiotic) but they end up coming up too.  They vet does not know what is wrong.  Murray has not eaten anything for three days and prior to that, what he has eaten, has come back up. Now, he cannot keep water down. Vomit is both white and foamy, or yellowish with a touch of blood in it.  He is not lethargic, his gums look good, and he does have a little spunk.  What should I do?  Should I take him to the emergency center?  By the way, Murray has a blood clotting disorder.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Answer
I would take him to the emergency center, he should be hospitalized and be on IV fluids.  Dehydration is a serious problem Murray could be facing soon and then he may go into shock.  Take him to the emergency clinic not only for a second opinion but for hospitalization.  There is a medication we use at my hospital for vomiting called Reglan (metacloprimide) but not sure because of the clotting disorder if that's a good thing for Murray. Also he can be given vitamins through the IV.

See the emergency doc and insist on hospitalization with an IV catheter.

Good luck, keep fighting,

Laura
