My poor dog, please help

my Miniature Schnauzer is sick and it came on all the sudden. Yesterday it had massive diarhhea and then all day today it was vomiting up a red looking liquid that smelled horrible. Im not sure if it was blood or not because I, myself, do not know what dog blood looks like/smells like. I would appreciate if you could tell me whats wrong, Thank you Sincerly, John

Thank you for writing to me.  Your dog is very ill.  You must bring him to the emergency room.  The red in the vomit is blood and the smell indicates something foul and potentially life threatening...it could be poison, something rotten that he ate, a bacterial infection etc etc.  His body is trying to get rid of something foreign in a very dramatic way.  DO NOT FEED HIM and if he stops drinking water, he could de-hydrate and die.

Pleae bring your dog for help.
