How to reach my 1.5 yr old shar-pei/Mastiff to Bark at the Door

I read an answer you gave someone about "barking" and how to teach their dog to bark at the door. My dog can 'speak' on command, but how do I train her to bark at the door? Do I have to say speak and knock on the door at the same time? please help. Thank You

Yes, that would be an excellent way to teach her. Since she already speaks on command, it would be a simple thing to teach her to respond to a secondary cue... a knock on the door. Lots of praise and a treat should have her responding in no time at all.
